Monthly Meetings
All meetings begin at 6:30pm. Any changes to the schedule are typically communicated at least a week in advance via the newsletter.

January 15th 6:30pm – We will start the year with a round-table discussion on late winter colony management and answer any questions you may have.
February 19th 6:30pm – Mr. Fred Jones will talk to us about “Preventing Swarms; A Decade of Learning from Failures”.
March 19th 6:30pm – Ryan Williamson from Sourwood Farm presenting: “Hacks and Techniques from an Experimental Beekeeper”.
April 16th 6:30pm – This month we welcome Mr. Keith Tignor, Virginia State Apiarist, who will talk to us about “Invasive Species affecting the Honey Bee: What’s here and what’s on the way”.
May 21st 6:30pm – This month we will have a panel discussion with our own members Vasilia McCrady, Rob Howard and Chuck Hutto to talk about various topics. Please bring your questions to the meeting to help stimulate discussion!
June 18th 6:30pm – This month’s speaker will be Emily Sartore from Dadant in Chatham, VA who will show and tell us about some new and interesting products as well as some traditional “must haves” for your apiary!
